I’m sorry, but for a company as big as Tamron, this explanation is just not good enough. The tap in console costs enough and, basically, this explanation does not go into anything like enough detail. It’s almost using guesswork by saying adjust in increments of + or - 5. For example, you take a shot, if it’s front focussing you detach the lens from the camera, reattach the lens to the console, adjust it by -5, you then have to disconnect the lens from the console, reattach to the camera and take another shot, if it’s no good adjust it to -10 etc, etc, until it is sharp. You then do that at four different focal lengths (on my 70-200) When you’ve put in the four different adjustments, is that it? Does that then mean the lens is sharp throughout the entire range, or will there be a variation in the sharpness. When you adjust the setting for 200mm will that have affected the setting for 70mm? If so, you could be going round and round setting for the four distances and back to the beginning again. If that’s the case fine, but why does the video no show or explain that? It’s showing about 10% of what it should. It’s almost like “here’s the console, work it out for yourself!”

The audio sync with the video, made this short video simply amazing, really gives you the sense and emotion of the nature and its chaotic character, amazing job and of course excellent lens

so i just got this and wanted to let others know, when you download the Tamron lens utility there is a right one and a wrong one u want the one that says for dslr not the software that says windows or for mirrorless even though i was updating for my Nikon z6ii the software for the dslr is the one that works while the other one does not. I finally got the firmware to update on my z6ii and the lens is working correctly.

Is the Tamron lens utility app only available for android phones?

am Brazilian, and I have a Tamron 150-600mm G2 that I use with my Canon R5 and R7. The problem I am noticing is that I do not see any difference in the image in the viewfinder with the VC (Vibration Compensation) on or off. This makes it very difficult when I am trying to photograph small birds. I do not know what to do since there are no replacement parts or official assistance in Brazil. The lens firmware is up to date. How can I buy the vc module and aperture modules and how much will it cost?

too bad you can control the aperture only switching the costum button 1,2,3 and costumize each number like costum 1 aperture and focus on the lens button.

As a happy Sony shooter... Finally all the Canon shooters can stop whining and crying... I hope they will get the 35-150 f2-2.8 too. So they can really feel what is to own and shoot with the most evolutionary lens ever. Tamron pls make the 35-150 G2 with vibration compensation! (even if it has to be a constant f2.8) Everyone would love that lens even more.

Ordered it together with the 28-75 G2. Can't wait to give them a review

I got th 150-500 for my Z6ii. Focus is a bit sluggish, but i read that on a Z8 ist better. This makes me hope for the Z6iii then. The VC is subpar to the Nikon native one. Looks like cam IBIS and LIS are not talking together. However I would prefer to have the 50-400 on my Z-Mount. A much more convenient range.

Too heavy for landscape photography

I REALLY wanted to like this lens! I liked the reach. I liked that it wouldn't leave much of a gap between it and my 24-120mm lens. I liked the size & weight. The Sony mount version had a great reputation for its image quality. On paper there was a LOT to like about it, so I pre-ordered one. It came in to my local camera store just before Christmas 2023. When I put it on my Z8, however there was a LOT of rotational play between the camera and the lens. At best, I was concerned about the weather sealing, but it was so much that to be honest, I was concerned about the possibility of the contacts between the camera and the lens mis-aligning. I had no real choice but to cancel my order and refuse the lens. I don't know if the copy that was sent to my local store for me was abnormal, or if the issues I had with the rotational play were a common problem and I likely never will know. I just wish that one came in for me that I didn't have doubts about before I even left the store.
